Kindness is the New Black

Random acts of kindness are always appreciated. They can change someone’s day, week, or year. Maybe they could even change someone’s life. Anywhere between a simple smile to helping someone rebuild their burnt down home. Acts of kindness can help anyone. From people that are deaf to people that are blind to people that are paralyzed. A simple smile or compliment can go a long way. Complimenting a person will give them a boost of self-confidence they might not have known they needed. The quote, “Kindness is a language the deaf can hear and the blind can see,” said Mark Twain, is a quote many people like to incorporate into their lives.

I am the type of person who believes in always spreading kindness. No matter what mood I am in, I am still smiling at people walking past me. I am always friendly to any person that comes my way. Whatever age, gender, weight, and nationality, I believe we are all people. There is no reason to treat anyone differently. We are all on the same planet, trying our hardest to get through life. Everyone adapts to life individually. We don’t need to tease and exclude people that are different than us. The most important word I said in that sentence was people. We are all people! Everyone is different; no one is the same. People think the peers in their group are the same, but news flash, they are not. I believe all of humanity needs to work together to spread more kindness and create a safer environment for the future. Our kids and our kid’s kids deserve to live in an environment filled with compassion. When I grow up, I want to create a platform, and I want to use it to spread kindness. Have a place where no negativity is welcomed. A place where everyone is treated equally; we all deserve the best. We don’t need to have people who think they are better than us, bring us down. We are who we are. We are all people.

The quote, “Kindness is a language the deaf can hear and the blind can see,” is a method of living. Every person loves spreading kindness, even if they don’t know it yet. This quote is a significant way to look at life. Some may even say this quote is essential. It shows how meaningful random acts of kindness are to other people. Acts of kindness don’t need to be anything significant. It could only be a smile, a compliment, or even holding the door open for another person. Kindness is a way to spread joy. The quote shows the impact kindness can make. Being kind affects everyone. It affects the person spreading the compassion and the person receiving the service. The person helping out feels good about doing something kind. The person in need of help feels good because they got the help they needed. Some people think they only need to do helpful deeds for people who look like they need it the most. Other people need it too. They might not seem like they do, but they do. Some other people also think they only need to help people who help them first. People don’t realize they can be king to anyone, even if they don’t support them first. Everyone needs kindness in their life. This quote shows how important kindness is.

Many people wonder what this quote means. It can have different meanings for different people. The possibilities are endless. The type of person looking at the quote changes the meaning. Some people might think the quote is offensive. It mentions people that are blind and deaf, which could be seen as aggressive. To some people, it’s not an important issue, but its a real issue happening in this period. People take offense to anything. This quote describes how loud an act of kindness can be. An act of kindness doesn’t only affect the person it was done to; it could also affect the people watching. If someone notices a teenage boy, taking the time out of his day, to help an older adult cross the street, they might want to help someone they see in need. Actions like this happen often, people see the effects on the person helping someone in need. They understand how good it makes them feel. They want that feeling too. Therefore the next person they see, they try to help to get the same sense. Once someone starts spreading kindness, they can’t stop. Kindness is like a yawn. It’s contagious. When someone starts the chain of kindness, the chain doesn’t stop. Kindness is loud enough for anyone to hear it. This quote also says kindness is an action anyone can see. Compassion is always recognized. Anyone can notice acts of kindness by merely walking down the street. Everyone needs to spread the word of paying forward the kindness they receive. If everyone lives by this quote, the world will be a superior world. Kindness will take over someday.

Kindness comes in many different ways. This world needs more people who are willing to stand up against the world and spread the word about how important kindness is. The quote was spoken by Mark Twain, “Kindness is the language the deaf can hear and the blind can see,” is a quote many people incorporate into their lives.  People need to understand how the chain of kindness is essential. Without kindness, this world would be a horrific place. However, humankind can make it better. We all can work together to spread kindness, love, and positivity to make our world peaceful for future generations.
