Classroom Corn Snake, Cora!

We interviewed Mrs. Ojibwe’s first grade class about their classroom corn snake, Cora. Cora has been in their classroom for eight weeks and the kids enjoy her company, even if she gets a little crabby on Fridays.

We also got to encounter the class’s butterflies and chicken eggs.

One of the butterflies (left) had come out of its cocoon yesterday while another had come out just fifteen minutes before the interview took place.

“The eggs have been shaking for days! I can’t wait for them to hatch!” says Timothy, one of the first graders interviewed.

The chicks have hatched and are up for adoption! Applications are available in the First grade class room.
